Promotional Products Company Unites Two Organizations for Charitable Cause

Gold's Gym approached The Icebox's Common Threads philanthropic division and asked for assistance in finding a charitable outlet where they could donate 500 surplus "Fantastic Four" movie t-shirts that the company had on hand to promote its mention in the this summer's release of the Fantastic Four movie. The Icebox had originally designed the shirts for Gold's Gym and was more than happy to help them find a charitable organization that would benefit from the t-shirts. The Icebox/Common Threads suggested the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Georgia, which often distributes donations through their Family Network groups.

"By donating the Fantastic Four t-shirts we were able to bring together two of our long- term customers in a win-win situation for all involved," says Jordy Gamson, president and CEO of The Icebox. "Gold's Gym was able to donate the shirts to the JDRF, which is the world's largest charitable funder and advocate of Type 1 diabetes research.

And, the JDRF was more than happy to receive the shirts, which have been distributed throughout the state of Georgia at JDRF Family Network events. The Icebox was proud to be able to make this happen!"
